YOUR COACHMICHAEL WHITE, CSCS, PN1, USAW-1Michael White graduated magna cum laude from Springfield College with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Exercise Science. At Springfield, he was a two-time captain of the baseball team and a three-time Academic All-Conference selection. Coach Mike is a Master’s candidate and teaching assistant in the nationally renowned Exercise Science program at the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health. At USC, he joins the strength and conditioning program, working primarily with the Gamecocks’ baseball team.
Coach Mike gained physical therapy/injury rehab experience during his time at the Hartford Bone and Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. He also worked with the Sports Performance Department at Yale University, helping coach and program the lifts for 33 Men’s and Women’s varsity teams. He was part of a strength staff that won 3 Ivy League championships in 2022. After moving to New York City, he became a personal trainer at Equinox while also serving as a Performance Coach at VeloU in Pleasantville, NY. Here he continued his work with high performance athletes, coaching baseball players at all ages, including high-level D1 and MLB pitchers. In accordance with his degree, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Certified Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition (Pn-1). He is also a certified Olympic Weightlifting Coach (USAW-1). |
